Ms. Danielle’s Music Studio

The founder of Ms. Danielle's Music Studio, Danielle (Occhipinti) Nadkarni is originally from the small town of Barryville, NY. Her musical career has taken her throughout the U.S. and abroad; Boston's Symphony Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Cleveland's Blossom Music Center, as well as internationally in Austria, Venezuela and Brazil.

Ms. Danielle began her piano studies at the age of 9, taking up the clarinet one year later. She advanced quickly under the tutelage of former Russian concert pianist, Sergei Arzoumanov, and later under clarinetists David Dworkin and Ben Armato, both formerly of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Danielle performed in many professional piano recitals with Mr. Arzoumanov in the New York area, including St. Paul's Festival of the Arts in Nyack, and the Master Arts Series of Warwick, and she was also one of the youngest pianists ever accepted into the prestigious Shandalee Music Festival in New York. Danielle also auditioned successfully on clarinet for the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Program and New York Youth Symphony in New York City.

After graduation, Ms. Danielle chose to major in clarinet performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Boston Symphony member Thomas Martin and international soloist Jonathan Cohler.  She also continued her piano studies throughout college.  Ms. Nadkarni was awarded the Harold Wright Clarinet Merit Award in 2006, in recognition of achieving high levels of musical excellence and for demonstrating strong potential for continued growth as an outstanding performing artist.  She received a Master of Music degree in 2007.

Ms. Danielle actively freelanced as an orchestral player in Boston and New Hampshire during and post-college, and also began her teaching career right after college.  She is a dedicated teacher of both the clarinet and piano, and has been a member of both the North Carolina Music Teachers Association (NCMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Ms. Danielle’s newest venture is a preschool/kindergarten class called Classics for Kids, and is inspired by her 4-year-old son, Liam.
